INGREDIENTS:
- 70g Plain Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp White Sugar
- 1 tbs Black Onion Seeds (Nigella Seeds)
- 30ml Water
- 2 tbs Chilli Oil
- 1 tsp Red Pepper or Chilli Flakes for topping
METHOD:
- Prepare your ingredients and pre-heat oven to 200 fan.
- To a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, sugar, and onion seeds, mix until combined.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients, then add the water and chilli oil, stir until a rough dough is just formed, then use your hands to bring it fully together. Be careful to not over work the dough.
- Transfer the dough to a sheet of greaseproof paper, then roll into a rough circle with a rolling pin. It should be thin, only a few mm thick.
I like rolling out the crackers straight onto the baking paper as it is so much easier to transfer them to a baking sheet. - Sprinkle on the red pepper of chilli flakes, gentle pushing these into the dough.
- Use a pizza cutter to slice the crackers into 8 triangles, then transfer into a baking tray.
- Lift each cracker and place them about 1cm or 2 away from each other, then place them into the pre-heated oven to cook for 12-14 minutes. They will be golden once cooked.
- Transfer the cooked crackers to a wire rack to cool completely.
